When you come upon Redstone, Colorado, a tiny mountain village hidden surprisingly beneath massive red cliffs, you might not expect to find a first-class hotel and resort. It's the historic Redstone Inn, the focal point of this 100 year old Arts & Crafts town. All of it was created by mine-owner John Osgood as a utopian community for his workers and their families. The entire village is on the National Register of Historic Places.
Open every day of the year, The Redstone Inn treats you to turn-of-the-century style at reasonable rates (Even your pet dog is welcome in certain rooms.) After a day of hiking, tennis, horseback riding or fishing, there's nothing like a soak in the pool or hot-tub.
